General Manager, Microsoft Rus
Kristina Tikhonova has joined Microsoft as the President of Microsoft in Russia, effective March 15, 2019. Kristina joins MS from ESW Capital in the USA, where she held the position of Senior Vice President for Sales. At ESW, Kristina helped build the scope and structure of a centralized sales organization across the portfolio of 85 companies across the globe. Before that, Kristina was Chief Transformation Officer for VEON (former Vimpelcom) in Eurasia, driving performance-transformation for 7 regions with great success, including 2 Transformation Awards and “Best Global Operating Project Award”, for Eurasia. Kristina brings a wealth of more than 20 years of experience and skills in the areas of Management, Sales, Business Development, Strategy and Customer Relations, mostly from the Telecommunications Industry having worked for companies like Nokia Networks, Veon, NEC and Mitsui & Co Ltd. She spent 10 years at Nokia, with her most recent position being Vice President of Nokia Networks, Head of East Region and before that she served as the Country Director of Russia for Nokia Siemens Networks. She holds an Executive MBA from the Russian Academy of Science and Kingston University (UK) and an Honors Degree in Economics and Finance from St. Petersburg University.
