Director of the Artificial Intelligence Center at the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology (Skoltech), Moscow. Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences and Professor; recipient of the 2024 Russian Government Prize in Science and Technology and the 2024 Sber “Digital Universe” Award. For the second year in a row, he appears in Stanford University’s and Elsevier’s list of the world’s top 2 % most-cited scientists in artificial intelligence and image processing. He is the author of more than 200 scholarly works, including three monographs and five patents.
Major research contributions:
He is actively engaged in teaching as a professor at Skoltech. Ten PhD dissertations have been completed under his supervision, and he oversees master’s and doctoral programmes in AI and mathematical modelling. He serves on the editorial boards of leading international journals and is a member of the Government of the Russian Federation’s Advisory Council on Artificial Intelligence.
