Biography

Tagir Aushev is a Doctor of Science in Physics, Professor, and Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
He was born in 1976 in Grozny. In 1999, he graduated with honors from Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. From 2006 to 2013, he held positions ranging from postdoctoral researcher to visiting scientist at international research institutions, including École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne in Switzerland and the High Energy Accelerator Research Organization in Japan.
In 2014, he founded the Laboratory of High Energy Physics at MIPT, and in 2020, the International Laboratory of Elementary Particle Physics at Higher School of Economics.
From 2015 to 2017, he served as Vice-Rector for Research and Strategic Development at MIPT. From 2018 to 2020, he headed the Project Office supporting the implementation of the Strategy for Scientific and Technological Development of the Russian Federation. Since 2024, he has been a member of the Council for Regional Policy of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
Since 2019, he has been the founder and Scientific Director of the Autonomous Nonprofit Organization “Inter-Disciplinary and Advanced Studies Center IDEAS” and the founder of a neuroscience grant program supporting PhD positions. In 2021, he founded and became CEO of the Center for Neurophysics and Neuromorphic Technologies LLC.
