Syed Azfar Hussain is a startup ecosystem leader with over 15 years of experience driving innovation, incubation, and entrepreneurship in Pakistan. He has supported more than 500 startups, enabling them to secure over PKR 13 billion in investment, generate PKR 12 billion in revenue, and create over one million jobs. Having reviewed 5,000+ pitch decks and mentored 1,000+ founders, he specializes in fundraising, scaling, and strategic growth.
He currently serves as Project Director at the National Incubation Center (NIC) Karachi, one of Pakistan’s leading startup hubs and accelerators, where he leads high-impact programs that foster scalable entrepreneurship, strengthen industry-academia collaboration, and contribute to policy development for innovation-led growth. Previously, as the Founding Project Director of NIC Hyderabad, he established a dynamic innovation hub that unlocked new regional economic opportunities.
Beyond incubation, Syed Azfar Hussain has been a strong advocate for inclusive innovation—organizing Pakistan’s largest women-focused hackathons (Built By Her 1 & 2), leading civic-tech initiatives through Karachi Citizen Lab, and co-developing data-driven maternal health solutions through Make Space 1.0 & 2.0.
