Mikhail Kliuev is a researcher and technology expert specializing in advanced manufacturing, electrical discharge machining (EDM), materials science, and artificial intelligence. He received his Dr. sc. degree from ETH Zurich and has extensive academic and industrial experience developed through collaboration with MSTU STANKIN and international research institutions.
Since 2025, he has served as Director of Research and Development at SEMAT. Previously, he led expert evaluation activities at the Skolkovo Foundation and worked as an expert for the Foundation for Assistance to Small Innovative Enterprises. His professional career includes research appointments at ETH Zurich and Inspire AG, where he focused on EDM process modeling, composite material machining, fluid dynamics, and Industry 4.0 technologies.
Mikhail has significant experience managing international industry-university collaborations and Russian-Swiss scientific partnerships. His research interests include machine learning, neural networks, digital manufacturing, mechatronic systems, and additive technologies.
He is the author and co-author of more than 20 international scientific publications and several Russian and European patents. His achievements include the Russian Presidential Scholarship for Young Scientists, grants from the Russian Science Foundation, and coordination of the international ACMT2020 conference.
