In 2006, he graduated from the State University of Humanities with a degree in History.
From 2006 to 2014, he worked at the Institute of Universal History of the Russian Academy of Sciences, rose from a junior researcher to deputy director of the Institute.
In 2014-2016— he was the head of the Department of Priority Areas of Science and Technology of the Office of the President of the Russian Federation for Scientific and Educational Policy.
In 2016-2022, he was Deputy Head of the Office of the President of the Russian Federation for Scientific and Educational Policy.
On November 22, 2022, he was appointed Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.
