Alexey Kalinin graduated from the Faculty of Economics at Moscow State University in 2001.
He began his career at the Russian office of OKI Limited, where he led the development of the company’s corporate accounts business. In 2004, he joined Microsoft Russia as Sales Director for Public Sector and Government Relations.
From 2011 to 2019, Alexey held senior leadership roles at OCS Distribution, serving as President of the company from 2015 to 2019. Between 2021 and 2025, he served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Aquarius Group.
He is a member of the Coordinating Council and Head of the IT and Computer Engineering Committee at Delovaya Rossiya, the nationwide public organization representing Russian business interests, Chairman of the Business Council at the Autonomous Nonprofit Organization “University of Entrepreneurs,” a member of the Public Council under the Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation, and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Faculty of Economics at Moscow State University. He is also a technology entrepreneur and co-owner of Spica Consulting LLC.
Alexey Kalinin has been awarded the Honorary Certificate of the President of the Russian Federation for his contribution to entrepreneurship and public service. He has also received a commendation from the State Foundation “Defenders of the Fatherland” for his active involvement in initiatives supporting participants of the Special Military Operation.
He is married and has a daughter.
