Alexander Vladimirovich Zakharov is a neurologist of the highest category, Candidate of Medical Sciences, and a specialist in functional diagnostics and neurotechnology. He graduated from the Medical Faculty of Samara State Medical University (SamGMU) of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation in 2000, followed by a residency in neurology. From 2002 to 2006, he headed the Sleep Laboratory at a multifunctional neurocenter. Since 2006, he has worked at the Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery at SamGMU, progressing from assistant to associate professor, where he teaches medical students and physicians in neurology, somnology, and cerebrovascular diseases. In 2011, he defended his PhD dissertation. From 2021 to 2023, he led the Laboratory of Neurotechnologies and Neurointerfaces at the Institute of Neuroscience and, since 2023, has served as its director. Under his leadership, projects are being implemented within the framework of the “Priority 2030” program, including a government initiative to develop a hardware-software system for the rehabilitation of patients with neurological impairments. Zakharov has participated in numerous international multicenter clinical trials and possesses extensive expertise in data analysis, machine learning, and neurophysiological diagnostics.
