Moscow Center for Innovative Technologies in Healthcare. Cross-industry coordination in project management
The Moscow Center for Innovative Technologies in Healthcare, or MedTech, was founded in February 2022 with the goal of accelerating the development and implementation of scientific research in clinical practice. MedTech aims to bridge the gap between academic research and practical medicine, bringing together scientists, doctors, and other professionals to ensure a smooth transition from the initial stages of research to the final product and its integration into the healthcare system.
Throughout this process, MedTech provides support and guidance to scientific projects, from the examination of ideas to the protection of patents, certification, registration, and mass production. This integrated approach ensures that new technologies are developed quickly and efficiently, allowing them to be implemented at the highest level of quality.
Some of the main areas of focus for MedTech include biotechnology, genetic and cellular research, new materials and implants, three-dimensional bioprinting, and artificial intelligence. By working together, these fields can contribute to the development of innovative solutions that improve patient care and outcomes.
The Moscow Mayor’s grant program, which Medtech has been implementing since 2022, has become a key tool for supporting innovative solutions. Each year, more than 1 billion rubles are allocated for the development, testing, and implementation of advanced diagnostic, treatment, and rehabilitation methods. During this time, 178 scientific studies were supported, some of which were applied in clinical practice not only in Russia but also worldwide for the first time.
Medtech Technopark has created all necessary conditions for the successful development of innovative medical technologies. Support programs available to residents and research teams help residents attract grants from federal and municipal development institutions, as well as investments from Russian venture capital funds. These programs also assist in successfully completing the registration process for medical technologies.
