Two billion rubles for the development of technological projects: Skolkovo will host the Pitch of the Year

Startup Village 2026 will be held on May 28-29 at the Skolkovo Technopark.

The technofestival is organized by the Skolkovo Foundation, co–organized by the Government of Moscow and VEB.RF. The event will be held as part of the Moscow Entrepreneurship Week.

Participation is free of charge upon prior accreditation. Registration is open on the website startupvillage.ru .uch projects can be further supported through the mechanism of investment reimbursement in technology companies implemented in Skolkovo. The total amount of subsidies for business angels under the program has reached one billion rubles. The mechanism allows an investor to return up to 50% of their investment in the form of a tax deduction, up to the amount of personal income tax paid over the previous three years. The MTK status allows for the attraction of an unlimited number of investors, with each investor eligible for compensation of up to 20 million rubles.

One of the mandatory requirements for participation in the program is that the startup must have the MTK status. This criterion helps to identify companies that are not only capable of developing technology but also capable of commercializing it, working with clients, and growing further.

Since the launch of the mechanism, 190 technology companies have attracted more than 5 billion rubles in private investment from 430 investors. According to the Foundation, the mechanism has become one of the key tools for attracting private capital to the Russian technology sector.

In addition to compensating part of the investment for investors, Skolkovo also provides direct support to technology companies. The total amount of grant programs reaches about 1 billion rubles and includes funding for pilot implementations, technology development, prototype creation, and clinical research.

In 2025 alone, business angels invested 1.1 billion rubles in small technology companies, and Skolkovo compensated investors for 50% of their investments, amounting to more than 500 million rubles. For technology companies, this is an opportunity to attract private capital, and for investors, it is an opportunity to gain access to more mature projects and reduce investment risks,» said Alexey Parshikov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Skolkovo Foundation (VEB.RF Group).

Skolkovo is one of the operators of the federal project «Technologies» and provides support to small technology companies in attracting investments and accessing available support measures. Over the past five years, the Foundation has brought more than 3,100 small technology companies to the market, which is over half of all small technology companies in Russia.
