
"In less than three years, MTKs have become significant participants in the economy. Their combined revenue has already reached 1.3 trillion rubles. The country has seen the emergence of companies that are leaders in the number of innovative solutions for the needs of the real economy. We have developed a set of measures to support MTKs at all stages, from the idea and search for financing to business scaling. These measures include preferential lending, grants, and compensation for the costs of issuing and placing shares. A Conversation with an Entrepreneur after IPO,» which will be held with the support of VEB.RF, is the assistance provided to MTKs when entering the public market.
Startup Village 2026 will also feature 50 booths showcasing innovative MTK projects. The Startup Bazaar will bring together hundreds of participants, including top managers from major corporations, founders of global projects, and leaders of successful companies. Approximately 60 companies from various industries will participate.
Skolkovo (VEB.RF Group), as one of the trusted expert centers of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, evaluates startups to grant them the status of an MTK. Companies with the MTK status can apply for special measures of tax, financial, and consulting support. Information about them is posted on the Startup Showcase for the purpose of searching for and attracting investments.
Today, the MTK registry includes almost 7 thousand enterprises. Among the basic conditions for inclusion in the registry are the company’s revenue of no more than 4 billion rubles, compliance of its main business with one of the types of activity from the special list of OKVED approved by the Government of the Russian Federation. Among the industries where the largest number of MTKs are represented are the IT sector and artificial intelligence, the medical industry, the production of electronics, equipment and robotics. Among the goals of the federal project «Technologies» of the national project «Efficient and Competitive Economy» by 2030 is to increase the number of MTK to 11,000 enterprises and revenue by 7 times.
By the end of 2025, the total amount of business angel investments in startups of the Skolkovo ecosystem amounted to 1.1 billion rubles.
