Sergey Solonin is CEO of the FinTech Association, a Co-Head of the FinNet Working Group (the Agency for Strategic Initiatives), and the CEO of QIWI Group. An active contributor to the country's finance and technology development, Mr. Solonin holds key positions in the Russian organisations that are seeking to create and sustain a high-tech environment for businesses and government agencies. Another area of focus for him is fostering new educational initiatives and institutions through consistent financial support for national projects in the area of modern alternative education solutions. In particular, Mr. Solonin is a co-investor of IKRA, a creative thinking school, the British Higher School of Art and Design, Moscow Film School, Scream School of Computer Graphics, March Architecture School, and the founder of the Centre for Educational Innovations. Startup Village is going to be the first event for Mr. Solonin as a speaker since he will be back from his 9 month round-the-world trip, during which he continued to take active part in the management of QIWI projects on the strategic level.
